NLIU – Chandhiok & Mahajan Article Writing Competition

We are delighted to announce the NLIU – Chandhiok & Mahajan Article Writing Competition, (“Competition”). This competition is brought to you in collaboration with Chandhiok & Mahajan, Advocates and Solicitors, and aims to encourage students in the legal discipline to engage in critical thinking and articulate their perspectives on contemporary legal issues.

ABOUT THE COMPETITION:
This unique competition offers law students the chance to showcase their research and writing skills and gain recognition from a distinguished law firm. The event will feature a rigorous evaluation process conducted by the editorial board of the NLIU Law Review, followed by a final review by Chandhiok & Mahajan to identify the top submissions.
ABOUT THE JOURNAL:
The NLIU Law Review is the flagship journal of the National Law Institute University, Bhopal. As of 2024, the journal has completed fourteen successful years, publishing twenty-three editions. It remains a cornerstone for promoting scholarly research and fostering a vibrant academic culture within the legal community.
ELIGIBILITY:
• Open to students currently pursuing their Undergraduate Degree in law or Postgraduate Degree (3-year LL.B., 5-year LL.B., or LL.M.).
• Individual entries and co-authorship (up to two authors) are allowed.
• No restriction on the number of entries from any institution.
IMPORTANT DATES:
• Registration Opens: 13 November 2024
• Registration Closes: 1 December 2024
• Submission Deadline: 5 January 2025
• Declaration of Results: April 2025
AWARDS:
Winner(s): Internship at Chandhiok & Mahajan + Cash prize of INR 5,000/-
1st Runner(s)-up: Internship at Chandhiok & Mahajan + Cash prize of INR 3,000/-
2nd Runner(s)-up: Internship at Chandhiok & Mahajan + Cash prize of INR 2,000/-

• Single authored entries: INR 300/-
• Co-authored entries: INR 500/-
