2nd NLIU-Chandhiok & Mahajan Article Writing Competition

We are pleased to release the second edition of the NLIU-Chandhiok & Mahajan Article Writing Competition, presented by the NLIU Law Review in collaboration with Chandhiok & Mahajan, Advocates and Solicitors. This competition offers an exceptional platform for legal minds to showcase their perspectives and contribute to meaningful academic discourse.

Key Dates

  • Registrations Open: 07 November 2025
  • Last Date to Register: 30 November 2025
  • Manuscript Submission Deadline: 07 January 2026
  • Results Announcement: April 2026

Eligibility

The Competition is open to students pursuing their undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in the field of law. We also invite submissions from advocates, scholars, PhD students, and practitioners in the field.

Awards

  • Winner: Cash prize of INR 5,000, internship with Chandhiok & Mahajan, Advocates and Solicitors (for law students), and manuscript publication in Volume XV Issue II of the NLIU Law Review, subject to submission guidelines.
  • First Runners Up: Cash prize of INR 3,000, internship with Chandhiok & Mahajan, Advocates and Solicitors (for law students), and manuscript publication in Volume XV Issue II of the NLIU Law Review, subject to submission guidelines.
  • Second Runners Up: Cash prize of INR 2,000, internship with Chandhiok & Mahajan, Advocates and Solicitors (for law students), and manuscript publication in Volume XV Issue II of the NLIU Law Review, subject to submission guidelines.

Certificates of Merit will be awarded to the top 10 manuscripts.

Registration

Participants may register individually or in teams of two. The participation fee tiers are as follows:

  • UG and PG Law Students:
    • Single Author: INR 300
    • Co-authorship (up to two authors): INR 500
  • PhD Students, Advocates, Scholars, and Professors:
    • Single Author: INR 400
    • Co-authorship (up to two authors): INR 600
