Our Copyright & Open Access Policy

Copyright Policy

The Copyright of the submission remains with the author(s) upon grant of right of first publication and attribution to NLIU Law Review.

  • As a condition for publication, authors must grant NLIU Law Review an irrevocable, transferable, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to reproduce, republish, translate, transmit, sell, distribute, and otherwise use their submission(s) in electronic and print editions of the Journal and in derivative works throughout the world, in all languages, and in all media now known or later developed.
  • This license includes an irrevocable non-exclusive right to create and store electronic archival copies of the submission, including the right to deposit the submission in open access repositories. NLIU Law Review also has the right to grant others the license to reproduce, republish, transmit, and distribute the submission.
  • This licence is granted for the duration of the subsistence of the copyright including any extensions and/or renewals.

Open Access Policy

In line with its aims and goals, NLIU Law Review is open access for all its volume till date and is committed to the same in the foreseeable future. All the articles published in the NLIU Law Review are freely accessible immediately from the date of publication.

  • There are no author charges prior to publication. Further, the readers can access all submissions with no charge, its use being conditional to proper attribution as described below.
  • All articles of NLIU Law Review are open access articles distributed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY), which permits unrestricted use, distribution, adaptation, and reproduction in any medium for commercial or non-commercial purposes, provided that there is proper attribution of the original author(s) and initial publication in this journal, and changes to the article are clearly indicated
